Edward Chambers Joins The Board

16th March 2017

Lindum is pleased to announce that Edward Chambers has been appointed as a member of the Company’s Executive Board.

After receiving a First in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol, Edward joined RBS in the City of London before moving to Lindum in 2013.

Edward’s initial role was as Business Development Manager where he used his experience to further develop client relationships, concentrating on construction and the Group’s wider interests in Lincoln and York.

Last year, Edward was appointed as General Manager of Lindum Plant where he is tasked with the responsibility for running and developing the Group’s Plant Hire and Vehicle Maintenance Division.

Edward is the latest member to join the Executive Board and follows a strong family involvement with the Construction Company - his late grandfather, John F Chambers started the Company in 1956, his father David Chambers has been Chairman since 1991 and his older brother Freddie joined the Executive Board recently.

Edward said “I strongly believe in a practical approach to construction and understand the importance of our business actually having the skills to do the job, not just manage it.  Investing in the training and development of our people remains key to providing the best possible service to our clients and, as Lindum is an employee owned company, we all have a vested interest in its success and I am delighted to be playing my part.”

Edward and his wife Fenella have two young daughters and live close to Lincoln.
