An opportunity has arisen for a Working Foreman to join our Minor Works Service Division in York.
The successful candidate will be competent over a number of trade backgrounds including bricklaying & ground works. It would be an advantage if you have experience in plastering, screeding & basic joinery. Current tickets for plant operations such as excavators and dumpers would be a benefit.
The candidate will be responsible for managing and directly supervising minor construction projects such as small extensions, internal & external refurbishment works, re-roofs, drainage, civils and tarmac projects, therefore experience in supervising such projects, and current training i.e. SMSTS / SSSTS would be well received.
Ability to manage time and work to a programme
Good understanding of construction drawings and related materials
Good knowledge of construction techniques and current regulations
Excellent quality of workmanship and high standards
Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and compliance
Able to prioritise workload
Customer care focused
Full driving licence
Experience of managing a team
