Blackwood Court Managed Workspace

North Kesteven District Council

Design and construction of 19 light industrial-managed workspace units of varying sizes, including all external works and infrastructure for North Kesteven District Council.

The buildings comprise a steel frame with external metal cladding and facing brickwork. Each unit consists of a small office area, an open plan high bay workshop with a disabled toilet, kitchen and canteen area. All units have the same size office area but the larger units have a larger workshop area.

This project demonstrated effective working relationships with both the neighbouring company and North Kesteven Council. As the site is adjacent to Siemens' offices, all site traffic to and from the site passed through a shared access with the company. Through regular communication and through developing a good working relationship with our existing client, Siemens, there were no issues sharing this access.

Towards the end of the project there was constant dialogue with the council as tenants were moving into the units as they were completed. We assisted the client with tenants moving; offering our services in helping with any queries new tenants had about their units.

On this project we were able to use the services of other Lindum Divisions, with Lindum Plant carrying out the groundworks and Lindum Painters and Decorators having involvement with the internal decoration of the units.
