Lindum delivered a £13.5m fit-out of a 400,000 sq ft NHS Supply Chain regional distribution centre and a 10,000 sq ft transport office at Gorsey Point, Widnes, for repeat client Unipart.

The project was completed on time and within budget, enhancing Unipart’s capacity and operational efficiency.

The works included a new sprinkler and temperature control system, mezzanine, and racking to optimise storage. An above-ground sprinkler tank was engineered to support the system, and additional safety features such as pedestrian walkways, barriers, and automated security gates were installed. We also delivered a £3m electrical package featuring LED lighting, small power, and data installation.

To ensure a smooth transition, Lindum managed a phased stock relocation during construction, allowing Unipart to move in over 10 stages before their previous lease ended. Strong communication through daily briefings with Unipart’s management helped keep the project on track and aligned with client expectations.
