Lindum completed improvement works at the University of Lincoln’s Sarah Swift Building, enhancing teaching spaces for the Health and Social Care and Psychology departments.

With an increased student intake, the university required upgrades to its clinical skills spaces. Lindum was appointed to carry out a series of room conversions and reconfigurations over the summer, ensuring the new facilities were ready for the academic year.

Work included creation of a home simulation room (a lounge area subdivided to create a realistic home care training space), conversion of a redundant office in to a modern teaching environment, expansion of existing rooms to create space for hands-on clinical training and merger of smaller rooms to form larger, more versatile teaching areas.

In addition, Mechanical and electrical works were carried out in the labs to support the upgrades.

Work took place across all five floors while the building remained operational. To ensure safety and accessibility, Lindum’s site team used a separate entrance and the goods lift, preventing disruption to staff and students.

The project was successfully delivered on time, providing enhanced learning environments for future healthcare professionals.
