Project Overview
Lindum Peterborough completed the refurbishment of a mincemeat factory for the client Hain Daniels Group at its Histon Sweet Spreads factory.
The client wanted to bring what was an extension to the original factory up to standard, to increase the factory’s capacity.
The project included the internal strip out of the building and refurbishment, including new drainage, and decorative works and white walling. New doors and resin flooring were also installed.
During the initial drainage works, the Lindum site team discovered that there were issues with the ground. After a structural engineer had come in to examine the issue, it became apparent the ground was not suitable to carry on with the refurbishment. Hain Daniels chose to resolve the issue with a separate contractor, and so we left site for four weeks until it was finished.
Once the team were back on site, the refurbishment could continue, and did so without any further issue.
The factory remained open whilst the Lindum team were on site, meaning they had to work around the factory workers and ensure they did not disrupt the business.
