Lindum completed a steel frame extension to the rear of an existing building overlooking the adventure playpark in the Bestwood area of Nottingham.

Sand stone blocks and large glass panels were used to maximise light into the building. Externally a hard space was created using resin stone.

The centre was occupied by vulnerable children during the day and social clubs in the evening and because the majority of the work took place while the building was in use, communication with staff was paramount.

Access was shared between the site teams and the public so segregated routes were set up. Deliveries were scheduled to avoid busy times of the day (such as pick up/drop off).

Weekly meetings were held between the site manager and the centre staff to discuss planned activities and ensure any additional precautions where considered and implemented.
