Project Overview
Lindum was appointed by Platform Housing Group to demolish a large Victorian house and build 25 affordable homes in its place.
All the properties were of traditional brick and block construction, with pitched roofs, and the contract included laying a private road, installing main services and creating parking, drives and landscaping.
The initial mobilisation works required the demolition of an old three storey house and clearance of a large rear garden, which included trees with tree protection orders requiring safeguarding.
The finished development was named Sturgis Road, in memory of two brothers, Ben and Samuel, from Great Bowden who were called up to fight in the First World War and sadly both lost their lives in the conflict.
