Project Overview
The Campus for Future Living is a transformative community hub designed to support health, education, and enterprise in coastal Lincolnshire. Commissioned by East Lindsey District Council and operated by Acis Group via CLIP, the Campus was funded by the Government’s Towns Fund through Connected Coast.
Lindum led the project from concept to completion, beginning with feasibility studies, site surveys, and CGIs to support the funding bid. Once secured, Lindum completed the architectural design and planning, before constructing the building shell and later delivering a full internal fit-out. The 1,400 sq m facility includes training spaces, consultation rooms, research hubs, and the Wayfinder Café.
When the original end user withdrew mid-project, Lindum helped facilitate Acis Group’s involvement, safeguarding the scheme’s future. Sustainability was key throughout, with air source heat pumps, solar panels, wildflower meadows, and a 98% recycling rate contributing to a projected one-tonne carbon saving.
The Campus, now home to the Lincoln Institute for Rural and Coastal Health (LIRCH), is already driving innovation in rural healthcare. Officially handed over in April 2024, it is a lasting example of collaborative regeneration, delivered with Lindum’s architectural, construction and waste management expertise.
