Lindum delivered Olive Lane, a new retail and community hub within the wider Waverley development.

The project comprises 11 retail units, a car park and extensive landscaping, creating an attractive commercial centre for the growing residential community. Our involvement began with a tender for the Waverley Medical Centre before expanding to the wider Olive Lane development.

Working closely with the client and design team, Lindum focused on cost management, value engineering and efficient construction from Stage 4 of the RIBA Plan of Work.

The project involved careful coordination with neighbouring developments and contractors due to shared site access. Detailed logistics and traffic management helped maintain safe and efficient movement around the site while minimising disruption to residents.

The scheme also incorporated essential infrastructure, including drainage and an electrical substation, alongside accessible parking, ramps and landscaping.

Olive Lane has created a vibrant retail and community destination for Waverley residents.

The development is home to a range of pre-let businesses, including Tesco, Specsavers, Hall Court Vets, Karobar Indian Restaurant, Little Olives Day Nursery and Waverley Medical Centre.
