Lindum was appointed to deliver a new extension and refurbishment of CATCH’s existing headquarters and conferencing facility in Stallingborough, creating a modern training and collaboration centre to support the Humber’s growing energy and engineering sectors.

The new facilities include a central atrium, lecture theatre, event and breakout spaces, an immersive AR/VR suite and a boardroom, helping CATCH expand its training capacity and support the UK’s transition to net zero.

Working closely with CATCH from the early stages of the project allowed the design to evolve alongside changing funding arrangements while maintaining the client’s long-term ambitions. Through collaborative value engineering workshops, we identified opportunities to reduce costs, prioritise key operational requirements and deliver a scheme that remained within budget.

Construction was carefully phased to minimise disruption, with the extension completed to a weather-tight shell before refurbishment works began within the occupied building. The project was delivered on programme and within budget, generating £2.3 million in social and local economic value, supporting 16 apprentices, achieving 23.86% Biodiversity Net Gain and diverting 100% of construction waste from landfill.
