Public sector building projects can get off the ground quicker thanks to the launch of a new framework agreement designed to help clients award their project to respectable contractors.
The new Pagabo Medium Works Framework enables the public sector to embark on their project sooner by cutting out the complex “˜red tape’ that surrounds procuring the services of building firms.
It permits all public sector organisations to access a pool of pre-approved construction companies which have excelled in service, price and their positive impact to social value and potentially removes weeks of complicated work for clients, who require their contractors are OJEU compliant.
Lindum Group is among the construction firms which has been successful in securing a place on the framework and is now able to use it to help clients near its offices in Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and Cambridgeshire.
Lindum framework Director Phil Sidebottom said the new service provides clients with a fresh way to access the expertise that Lindum brings to construction projects.
“Public sector clients who are looking to begin building work might find this new framework useful as they pick through the complicated process of procurement,” he said.
“A lot of the initial hard work has been done for them by the Pagabo selection process and it means they can focus on the project and finer details of the construction process.
“It is great for Lindum to be on this framework as it is yet another pathway we can offer potential customers who are looking for a way to work with us.”
The framework has been launched by construction procurement specialists Pagabo and operates across 73 regional areas – covering England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
It is designed to provide the public sector with a gold standard service at a local level and can be used for the procurement of projects from £250k to £10m.
Social Return on Investment features prominently in the framework and contractors are measured on the positive impact they bring to the community – in terms of things like staff training, safeguarded jobs and use of the local supply chain.
Pagabo, Chief Executive Officer, Simon Toplass, said: “The Medium Works Framework sits firmly within our impressive family of construction frameworks that consider construction as a service and not just as a product.
“We constantly hear from our clients that they’re not just buying a building, but they want a service that gets them to the outcomes they want.
“Medium Works, like all of our frameworks, simplifies the process but considers how the client wants to procure, their timings, speed of appointment and “˜on-time’ delivery.
“We’ve got off to a flying start with our Medium Works Framework, which is already gathering momentum. The team at Pagabo dedicated a great deal of time, to develop a ground-breaking framework that hits so many spots – tangible social value, supportive of SMEs with a thorough regional focus.
“We regularly hear our clients say that they’re not just buying a building, but they want a service that gets them to the outcomes they want. With our contractors sharing our vision across our family of contractor frameworks we will certainly demonstrate the very best in service to our clients.
We’re very excited about working closely with Lindum Group, who have a great track record in delivering outstanding outcomes, and we’re looking forward to a great future.”
The Medium Works Framework went live on 1 January 2019. For information on using frameworks contact Lindum on 01522 852273.
