Project Overview

Share Article:

We were appointed through the Efficiency East Midlands Framework to construct 60 new homes for City of Lincoln Council.

Situated on the Moorland residential estate, south of the Lincoln City Centre. Residential development surrounds the site on all boundaries with Westwick Drive to the south of the access.

The site was an area of vacant brownfield land formerly occupied by the Moorland Primary School. The single storey nursery building was demolished at the start of the project, alongside removal of trees and site strip to facilitate the construction of the new homes.

The houses are of timber frame construction with 43 for rent and 17 for low-cost ownership. The new homes are connected into existing surrounding services systems and the project includes hard standings, landscaping and street works.

As works were within a busy residential area, we maintained regular liaison with residents advising them of proposed works as the development progressed. The units were handed over in phases to ensure the council were able to provide new houses for families who were in need
of one.

The phased handover also assisted in ensuring the area could manage the increase of residents in already
busy residential area
