Project Overview

Share Article:

This design and build project included the demolition of an existing cottage and outbuildings, the construction of a new two-storey medical centre and demolition of the existing medical facility and forming associated car parking and external space.

The project also utilised our experienced design team who had worked on other medical facilities, including Taylors Avenue in Cleethorpes, and the same successful off-site-manufacturing techniques were introduced here.

A concrete podium at ground floor and prefabricated timber frame at first floor assisted with the construction methodology and sequencing on this tight town centre site, allowing quicker progress than a traditional construction solution.

Access was restricted further due to the adjacent public car park and medical facilities in daily use so banksmen were employed to coordinate and guide deliveries. Neighbours and other affected parties were kept informed through regular updates.

As part of our partnership working approach, regular consultation with the Medical Practice and their advisers assisted in the decision making process especially where finishes were concerned.

We were also delighted that BREEAM Very Good rating for this project was achieved.
Additional to this, Lindum was also tasked at a later date with installing speedroof build-up insulating roof cladding at the same site
