Lindum completed a multi-million pound revamp of the northern end of Serpentine Green shopping centre in Hampton, Peterborough.

The worked helped to transform the 319,000 sq ft centre, which attracts around 5.5 million visitors every year.

Overall, the project involved the design and construction of three new retail units, consisting of a new 10,000ft² new unit for fashion retailer Next, a new 2,000ft² unit for Costa Coffee and a smaller 1,000ft² retail unit for Thomas Cook.

It also included the redevelopment of an existing retail unit to form a new 1,000 sq ft Marks and Spencer Food Hall and replacement of the existing main entrance façade, with enhancements and alterations to the existing car park and public spaces.

All works were undertaken whilst maintaining full time access to the existing stores.

Lindum’s roofing and cladding division, KGM also worked on the project, installing Kingspan’s Low Pitch Secret fix composite roof panel system and a bespoke secret fix high level wall cladding planking system.
