This development of affordable housing in the Lincolnshire village of Nettleham was designed for over 55s and built by Lindum. It was officially opened during a ceremony hosted by our client, LACE Housing.

The Burrows, situated off Deepdale Lane in Nettleham, consists of 22 two-bedroom apartments for rent and 14 two-bedroom bungalows for shared ownership.

Lindum Construction began work on the £4.8m development in July 2018, after the launch of the Nettleham Parish Plan revealed a growing need for affordable accommodation for older people in the area.

During the works, we welcomed classes from both Nettleham Junior School and Nettleham Infant School. Prior to visiting site, the children were set a competition to name the new development. The winner was ‘The Burrows’ –  named after the rabbits that used to live on the fields before we commenced building.

The access road – Frith Close – has been named by Nettleham Parish Council in recognition of the service of Cllr Alf Frith within the village.

Nick Chambers, Chief Executive of LACE Housing, said: “By officially opening The Burrows, we have reached a significant milestone in our mission to meet the demand for homes that are both affordable and suitable for Lincolnshire’s ageing population.”
