Lindum Group has welcome Lincolnshire Rape Crisis into its new home on South Park Avenue, Lincoln –  a move which marks a significant milestone for the charity as it celebrates its 12th anniversary and embarks on a major expansion of its services.

The building, which was previously occupied by a care provider, has been renovated and adapted to suit the charity’s specific needs. Now fully operational, it brings together Lincolnshire Rape Crisis’s Women’s Centre, its central headquarters, and a brand-new Children and Young Person’s (CYP) Sexual Violence Support Centre – the first of its kind in the county.

The property is owned and let by Lindum Group, which has a long-standing commitment to supporting organisations that serve the local community and public sector.

Angela Morley, Lindum Facilities Manager, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Lincolnshire Rape Crisis to their new home. As landlord, it’s important to us that the building provides a safe, comfortable and functional space for both staff and clients.

“The work the charity does is invaluable, and we’re proud to play a small part in helping them continue supporting people across Lincolnshire.”

Lincolnshire Rape Crisis offers free, confidential services to people of all genders and ages who have experienced sexual violence or abuse –  whether recent or historic. Support includes counselling, emotional support, advocacy, and access to Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs).

Laura McKane, CEO of Lincolnshire Rape Crisis, said: “This move is a significant milestone for us. Our new Centres for Women, Children and Young People offer more space, bespoke design, and outdoor space. This move will significantly contribute to our continuity of care and ensures we can offer a consistent, trauma-informed environment.

“The new premises support our commitment to providing confidential, safe and welcoming spaces for survivors. We are pleased to be working with Lindum to make this possible.”

Following three months of renovations and decoration, the space has been transformed into what the charity describes as a “beautiful and meaningful” environment for clients and staff alike. It is centrally located, discreet and designed with accessibility in mind – key features which will help improve service reach across the county.

While the charity’s Mr & Mx Centre, which provides services for male, trans and non-binary survivors, will remain in its original city centre location, the new South Park base is already helping the team grow its offer and meet increasing demand.

To mark both the move and its 12-year milestone, Lincolnshire Rape Crisis is planning an open day for professionals and partner organisations in the coming weeks. A full rebrand of the charity will also be revealed soon.
