Lindum has begun construction of a new Home Bargains store in East Yorkshire.

Elvington-based Lindum York is delivering a 20,000 sq ft retail unit on land adjacent to Bluebird Way, Brough, on behalf of TJ Morris Ltd.

The 2.6-acre development includes 119 car parking spaces, a new access road, landscaping, and associated infrastructure. It is expected to be open by late summer.

Lindum is working as main contractor within a wider project team that includes WPL Consulting, Ramage Young & Encon Associates.

Lindum York MD James Nellist said: “We are pleased to be on site delivering this new Home Bargains store in Brough on behalf of TJ Morris Ltd.

“This project will bring a vacant site back into productive use, providing high-quality retail space and supporting the ongoing regeneration of the Brough South area.

“The development is also expected to create a number of full and part-time job opportunities, contributing to the local economy and supporting employment in the area.”

The new store will offer a wide range of affordable household goods, food and drink, health and beauty products, and seasonal items, providing increased choice and convenience for local residents.

Its location close to an existing Aldi supermarket, a primary school, and a care home makes it ideally placed to serve the growing community.
