Lindum has successfully achieved PAS 402:2025 certification for the second year running, reaffirming its commitment to the highest standards of waste management, sustainability and environmental performance.
The nationally recognised certification confirms that Lindum’s Waste Recycling team, based in Saxilby, continues to operate in line with industry-leading benchmarks for tracking, managing and reporting waste, providing customers with confidence that materials are being handled responsibly and transparently.
Developed by the British Standards Institution (BSI), PAS 402 sets out rigorous requirements for reporting waste volumes, material recovery rates, landfill diversion statistics, and the management of health, safety, environmental and quality systems.
As part of the latest independent assessment, Lindum Waste’s operations underwent detailed scrutiny and achieved an impressive landfill diversion rate of 99.58 per cent, demonstrating the company’s continued success in minimising the amount of waste sent to landfill.
Lindum Waste provides skip hire and recycling services for the wider Lindum Group’s construction projects, as well as domestic, commercial and public sector customers across the region. Its extensive fleet of waste containers is supported by robust management systems designed to ensure regulatory compliance while prioritising environmental responsibility.
Donna-Louise Dawson, who led the certification process for the Lindum Waste team, said: “Retaining PAS 402 certification for a second year reflects the consistency and dedication of our team across every part of the operation.
“The assessment process is thorough, so achieving this standard again demonstrates that the systems, processes and culture we have built are delivering real results.
“It’s particularly rewarding to see our efforts recognised while continuing to achieve a 99 per cent landfill diversion rate and helping customers meet their own sustainability goals.”
The achievement has also been recognised by industry partners.”

Paul Jennings, Chairman of The Green Compass Scheme Limited, said: “The Green Compass Scheme, as the gateway to PAS 402 verification, continues to attract new members and clearly retention of existing members is key to our growth.
“Lindum Group successfully completed the reporting and audit process and has once again demonstrated a first-class approach through the renewal process and audit to attain its latest Green Compass Certificate.
“We are delighted to have Lindum Group as an exemplary member of the Green Compass Scheme and trust we will continue to work together in the foreseeable future.”
John Logan, Operations Director at SCAPE Group’s Construction Waste Portal, added: “Lindum’s environmental commitments in the field of resource management align perfectly with SCAPE Group’s, and they are unique in the management of their own construction waste.
“What really stands out is that they have turned commitment into action, with recertification to the PAS 402:2025 resource management specification demonstrating a performance of continued excellence that goes beyond aspiration.”
The recertification reflects not only the technical capability of Lindum Waste’s operations, but also the company’s wider commitment to sustainability, data accuracy and reducing environmental impact.
As demand grows for greater transparency in waste management and reporting, particularly within the construction sector, PAS 402 certification provides assurance that Lindum Waste is helping customers meet their environmental objectives, reduce carbon emissions and support a more circular economy.
By maintaining PAS 402 certification for a second consecutive year, Lindum Waste continues to demonstrate its leadership in responsible waste management and its dedication to driving continuous improvement across its operations.
