Project Overview
Lindum delivered the construction of 156 new homes in Silsden.
The scheme was part of a joint venture between Lindum York and Yorkshire Housing to revive derelict land, previously part of an old industrial site.
The development at Silsden provides 36 homes for affordable rent and 44 homes on a rent-to-buy basis. There are 76 homes available for sale on a shared ownership basis. Of these, six have two bedrooms, 62 have three bedrooms and eight have four bedrooms.
The new homes were built from stone to compliment the surrounding area of the Yorkshire Dales.
James Nellist, Lindum York Managing Director said: “This is such an important housing scheme for the Silsden area, helping ease the growing demand on affordable housing in the area and we are now looking forward to seeing the new community develop and thrive in their new homes.”
The development helps address the demand for affordable housing in Bradford and the surrounding area and forms part of Yorkshire Housing’s commitment to build 8,000 new affordable homes across Yorkshire.
