Lindum carried out the design and build of fifty bungalows and ten flats off Church Lane in Saxilby.

This scheme was completed for repeat client Acis Housing and are available through an equal mix of affordable rent, shared ownership and outright sale, providing high-quality living space to meet the needs of Lincolnshire’s ageing population.

The development has been supported by a social housing grant from Homes England. Designed for the ‘over 55s’ market, the properties provide high-quality, independent living space and boast modern kitchen diners with fitted appliances, spacious walk-in showers, gas central heating, double
glazing, enclosed rear gardens, off-street parking and excellent transport links.

We were able to call upon other divisions within the Group such as Lindum Plant who carried out the site strip and setting out of the site, making use of the GPSenabled 22 tonne excavator, which helped us reduce setting out time, therefore completing earthworks quicker and resulting in lower costs.

Lindum Waste Recycling also managed the collection and delivery of skips, ensuring a complete team effort went into the successful completion of this project.

As the work was carried out within a large residential area we ensured we minimised disturbance to the neighbours throughout the build process. Our site management team carried out regular newsletter drops to keep neighbours informed of our activities. Any temporary road closures were clearly advertised prior to them being implemented and we had a machinery wheel wash station on site to prevent mud from being spread onto public highways
