Lindum Group will give the food and drink industry a taste of its construction expertise at the UK’s premier trade show in Birmingham this spring.

The Food & Drink Expo will be returning to the city’s NEC between April 24 and April 26.

The event runs alongside four other shows – Farm Shop & Deli Show, National Convenience Show, Foodex Manufacturing Solutions and National Convenience Show.

Combined, they will bring together 1,500 suppliers from across the whole food and drink supply chain, from retailers to manufacturers.

Lindum Group has a long and established history of working in the food sector and has been involved in an impressive portfolio of projects across the country. Its stand at the Expo will provide visitors with an opportunity to talk to its team of experienced food industry construction experts.

MD of Lindum Group, Edward Chambers, said: “Lindum has been in the construction business for more than 65 years and, with most of our work coming from repeat business, we have a proven track record of delivering successful solutions for our clients – on time and within budget.

“With expertise within the food industry, our team has a vast amount of knowledge and experience gained from building food factories and cold stores.

“From our offices in Lincoln, Peterborough and York we provide a full range of construction services, including design and build solutions covering new and refurbishment projects on typical contract values ranging from £50,000 to £20 million.

“We are financially secure and have a workforce of 650 people, two thirds of whom are shareholders. We directly employ our own trades people, which means we are very good at looking after our customers.”

Lindum’s experience includes working in busy ‘live’ factory environments and keeping clients’ operations running smoothly during construction projects.

Recent projects have included:

  • An extension to an existing egg proccessing facility in Knaresborough for Chippendale Foods.
  • Construction of a new salad leaf processing factory, including waste water reclamation for Bakkavor at Sutton Bridge
  • Design and build of a new pet food Pouch Process Facility for Masterfoods UK.
  • Design and build of a new 1150 square metre freezer extension and a 350 square metre traywash extension, including external yard area and internal modification works for repeat client Greggs
  • Several projects for Greencore, including demolition work, new builds and extensions.

Farm Shop & Deli Show, Food & Drink Expo, Foodex Manufacturing Solutions and National Convenience Show will be held in unison, giving delegates a unique and unrivalled opportunity to see and understand the latest developments across multiple sectors.

In addition, new zones dedicated to showcasing innovation and new product development across a range of key industry-impacting trends have been announced. Healthy & Natural, Ingredients and Low2NoBev will all be dedicated zones incorporated into the shows.
