Lindum has handed over keys to 12 affordable new homes in the village of Welton near Lincoln.

The development in Hawks Chase comprises two and three bedroomed properties and was built on behalf of housing provider Acis Group.

It offers a blend of shared ownership and affordable rent opportunities and is part of a wider Lindum scheme which also includes 37 market sale homes.

The Acis properties comprises four semi-detached bungalows, one detached bungalow and one semi mid-link house, all for affordable rent, and two end terrace houses and four semi-detached houses for shared ownership.

Each comes with parking and large gardens and several overlook open green spaces, enhancing the overall appeal of the development.

Ben Radley, Development Project Manager at Acis Group, said the new homes would help to meet the diverse housing needs of the village.

He said: “Working with Lindum on Hawks Chase has been a pleasure. They have been a professional and supportive partner throughout the development process, delivering houses to an extremely high quality.

“This collaboration has allowed us to create homes that reflect the unique charm and character of Welton.”

In total, Lindum Homes has planning permission for 49 homes on the land off Hawks Chase. Lindum Group MD Edward Chambers said he was pleased to be working with repeat client Acis to deliver affordable properties as part of the project.

“Welton is a lovely village with great schools and it’s not far from the centre of Lincoln. It’s hugely popular with those who want a new home in a picturesque, rural location but also require easy access to shops and city life.

“Our Hawks Chase scheme includes two and three bed semi-detached and three and four bedroom detached homes built in a range of differing materials designed to complement the character of the village.

“Building these 12 properties for Acis Group means a wider variety of people will have access to the homes and the benefits of living in this high-quality development.”

Acis Group is charitable organisation providing services including housing, education and skill development. It owns 7,000 quality and affordable homes – available to rent, buy or part-own and spread across cities, towns and idyllic rural villages.
